Weekend Adventure

We went on as road trip this weekend to the Bay Area for cousin Steve's wedding.  We made a few stops along the way and it was a wonderful weekend adventure.

We met up with Grandma Katy, Grandpa Al, Aunt Susan, and cousin Lily in San Ramon.  We went and ate Zachary's Pizza.  It is Mommy's and Daddy's favorite pizza place.  We had delicious deep dish pizza.  We then ventured through the East Bay into Marin passing the beautiful cityscape of San Francisco as we drove to our hotel in Novato.  We stayed at a quaint hotel called Inn Marin with our entire family and the rest of the out of town wedding guests.  We went to the rehearsal dinner at cousin Steve's house in Rohnert Park on Friday evening.  After some yummy food and family time, we went back to our hotel to call it a night.  We had a long day planned on Saturday and after waking up at 5 am to begin our road that morning, we were all spent.

The next day we ventured into the city where we met up with the Clayton family in Golden Gate Park.  We cruised through the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed some quality time together.  We grabbed a bite at Pluto's near the park.  We had to head back to Novato in the afternoon to get ready for Steve and Nicole's evening wedding at Stone Tree Country Club.  The venue was very nice and the view was picturesque.  We had so much fun at the wedding.  Parker took a nap during dinner while I ate some yummy chicken nuggets and mac and cheese.  He woke up in time for the dancing and we boogied on the dance floor for quite some time.  It was way past our bed time after they cut the cake so we had one last dance and went back to our hotel.

On Sunday morning we had breakfast with our family then packed our things for our next mini trip further north to Sacramento.  Being so close to our friends, the Cramsey family, we had to stop by for a visit.  On our way to their house, we stopped to see the Capital and Old Sacramento.  While visiting with our friends, we had yummy barbeque that they prepared for us and Parker and I played with Ariana, Jocelyn, and Dylan while Mommy and Daddy reconnected with Anna and Sean.  It was the perfect ending to a memorable weekend getaway.

The drive up and back was boring, but the destination was worth the journey.  I can't wait to see my
friends and family again soon.
