Snow Day

What a great way to end 2014....with a snow day.  We woke up to snow in our mountains and we could tell it was very low.  We all got in the car and drove to see how low it was.  Our canyon had a lot of snow so we got out to take pictures.  We went over to Robinson Ranch and it was filled with snow.  All of the streets, houses, and cars were covered with snow.  We got out and was able to throw some snow balls.  It was freezing cold and windy, so Mommy did not let us play for too long.  I've been asking Mommy and Daddy to take me to the snow this year, I'm so glad the snow came to me.

Merry Christmas

This has been a wonderful holiday season and it seems to have flown by.  We decorated our tree the day before Thanksgiving, so we got to enjoy its beauty for over one month.  Buddy the Elf came back to our house this year to keep on eye on us and report back to Santa each night how well we behaved.  He left us various treats and coins every morning when he returned and it helped us to count down the days until Christmas.  Santa actually called us on the phone to wish us a Merry Christmas and check in on us.  We continued our annual tradition of cruising our neighborhood looking for holiday lights.  We found some great houses and we even saw the house where Santa camps out.  He waved to us and told us Merry Christmas many times.  We saw him work on his naughty/nice list, watched him sort his toys, and we even saw him eat cookies and drink milk.  We ventured over to Brea to see their very festive neighborhood.

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandpa John and Suzanne's where Parker and I got a hot wheels track.  Then we went to Grandma Lu's where I got new vans shoes, a music cd, socks, and several hot wheels sets.  Our last stop was at Mom and Pop's where I got to play with my cousins and we wore our Christmas pjs from Mom and Pop.

On Christmas morning, we woke up with excitement ready to see what treasures were under the tree.  Santa sent us on a scavenger hunt and our surprises were hidden all around the house.  We had to find them with various clues.  It was so much fun.  I got more hot wheels, reading books, an arrow nightlight, and some playing cards.  We spent the rest of the day at Grandma Katy's and Grandpa Al's feasting and opening lots of presents with all of Daddy's side of the family.  I got lots of toys and books.  I am one spoiled (blessed) kid.

I had a wonderful holiday season and I can't wait for next year.

My New Digs

Now that I am 5 years old, Mommy and Daddy allowed me to redecorate my room as my Christmas present.  I got to choose the theme and Mommy designed it.  Yes, I'm obsessed with cars...especially exotic ones.

Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn

The day after Thanksgiving, we met Grandpa John, Suzanne, Joce, Amanda, and Emily at the Mission Inn.  Every year they light over 4 million lights, covering and decorating the Mission Inn.  It was so beautiful and festive.  We drank yummy hot chocolate and we got to meet Santa.  I told him that I wanted a Bugatti and a Hennessey for Christmas.  It was a very magical night.

Happy 5th Birthday

I celebrated my actual birthday with Mommy, Daddy, Parker, and Grandma Lu.  Grandma Lu picked me up from school and we met my family at Farrell's.  We had a yummy dinner and an ice cream sundae.  The entire restaurant sang to me and I loved it.  After Farrell's, Grandma Lu took me to Toy's R Us and I got to buy more hot wheels cars.  I had a great birthday celebration!

NHRA Winternationals

Since I love race cars so much, Mommy got us tickets to the NHRA Winternationals.  It was so much fun.  We had special passes into the DHL professional pit and we got to meet the team and the driver.  The races were so powerful, I could feel the pounding of speed against my body and I had to wear ear plugs to muffle the sound.  It was a great day, I can't wait to go again next year.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was a lot of fun this year.  Grandpa Itz and Mr Skeleton joined our family and we were not afraid at all.  They did scare some of our guests though.  I was a race car driver and my brother was a monster truck.  Mommy and Daddy made our costumes.  We went trick or treating with my friend Dylann.  It turned out to be a nice night and we got a bunch of candy.  Yum!

Happy Birthday to Me

We celebrated my 5th birthday early this year.  For the last 3 years, it has rained on my birthday and Mommy wanted some guaranteed sunshine for my 5th birthday party, so we had it on October 5th.  It was a race car themed party and we had so much fun.  We had some race cars come and give us rides.  My cousin Monique made my race car cake out of cupcakes.  It was fun filled, festive day.

San Diego Zoo

When Mommy was on her business trip in Asia, we had different visitors each day to help take care of us.  Actually, they really came to have fun with us.  We went to the park, to the San Diego Zoo, and the beach.  It was also Daddy's birthday and we celebrated with him.  It was such a fun week that we did not even miss Mommy.

A Cruise on the Lake

Mommy had to go on a business trip to Hong Kong and Singapore, so the day before she left we had a fun, family day.  We cruised on some paddle boats on Rancho Santa Margarita Lake.  It was exhausting....for grandma, mommy, and daddy who were paddling.  Parker and I got to sit and soak up the sun.  After the lake, we went to the beach to check out the high surf.  We ended with a trip to Yogurtland.  It was a great day!!!

A Day at the Lanes

We went bowling with Dylann and her family.  It was so much fun as it was my first time bowling.  What made it the most fun was hanging with my gal pal.

Camping in Big Sur

Every year daddy goes on a camping surf trip and this time I got to go with him.  It was my first time camping and it was just Daddy and I, so it was a lot of fun.  We met our friends there in Big Sur, but Mommy and Parker stayed home.  We got to go in the very cold water....next year I need a wetsuit.  It was just fun hanging out and enjoying the outdoors.

'All Aboard' Poway Railroad

We went to Poway with Grandma and Grandpa Heritage and road the train.  It was a quaint train that took us on a little ride around the park.  We ate yummy breakfast at a local café and walked around the small town.  There was a Farmer's Market going on, so we got to sample so local fruit and eat kettle corn.  The weather was very humid and it ended up storming on us, but at least it cooled us down a bit.  It was a great weekend adventure!

Building a Taco Truck

Daddy and I went to Lowe's workshop and built a taco truck.  I really liked this project because I'm a big fan of the movie Turbo and it was the taco truck in Turbo that we built.  It was a fun time to use new tools and see the results of my efforts.  Plus I got a new toy out of it!

My Brave Dental Visit

I'm such a big boy now.  I went to the dentist and I did not even cry.  I was brave and I got my teeth cleaned and examined.  At the end of the visit, Dr Mike gave us a toy and Mommy and Daddy took us to have a special treat.  The dentist is not so scary after all.

Summer Adventures

We have had many wonderful adventures this summer.  We went on our annual Palm Springs vacation at the end of May.  It was so much fun...spending time with Grandpa John and Suzanne, Auntie Janelle, Uncle Robert, and Joce, and my Mommy, Daddy, and Parker.  We spent our days in the pool and our mornings and evenings walking around the golf course.  We had so much fun, I did not want to leave.  Every weekend, I ask Mommy and Daddy if we can go back to Palm Springs.  We celebrated 4th of July with a vacation to Grandma Lu's house.  We saw the neighborhood firework show and I got to light fireworks with all my cousins.  We swam all day, every day.  That was the first weekend I swam laps all by myself without floaties.  We visited the Train Museum at Griffith Park, saw the Space Shuttle Endeavor at the California Science Center, explored at the La Habra Children's Museum, and rode the mini trains at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa.  We've had several visits to the beach and many trips to our community pool.  My grandpa John and Suzanne gave me an early birthday present and now I ride my big boy bike...even without training wheels.  I still need to practice, but I can do it.  I am enjoying my time with my family and I really like my Daddy being home too.  I can't wait for many more adventures this summer.

Weekend Adventure

We went on as road trip this weekend to the Bay Area for cousin Steve's wedding.  We made a few stops along the way and it was a wonderful weekend adventure.

We met up with Grandma Katy, Grandpa Al, Aunt Susan, and cousin Lily in San Ramon.  We went and ate Zachary's Pizza.  It is Mommy's and Daddy's favorite pizza place.  We had delicious deep dish pizza.  We then ventured through the East Bay into Marin passing the beautiful cityscape of San Francisco as we drove to our hotel in Novato.  We stayed at a quaint hotel called Inn Marin with our entire family and the rest of the out of town wedding guests.  We went to the rehearsal dinner at cousin Steve's house in Rohnert Park on Friday evening.  After some yummy food and family time, we went back to our hotel to call it a night.  We had a long day planned on Saturday and after waking up at 5 am to begin our road that morning, we were all spent.

The next day we ventured into the city where we met up with the Clayton family in Golden Gate Park.  We cruised through the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed some quality time together.  We grabbed a bite at Pluto's near the park.  We had to head back to Novato in the afternoon to get ready for Steve and Nicole's evening wedding at Stone Tree Country Club.  The venue was very nice and the view was picturesque.  We had so much fun at the wedding.  Parker took a nap during dinner while I ate some yummy chicken nuggets and mac and cheese.  He woke up in time for the dancing and we boogied on the dance floor for quite some time.  It was way past our bed time after they cut the cake so we had one last dance and went back to our hotel.

On Sunday morning we had breakfast with our family then packed our things for our next mini trip further north to Sacramento.  Being so close to our friends, the Cramsey family, we had to stop by for a visit.  On our way to their house, we stopped to see the Capital and Old Sacramento.  While visiting with our friends, we had yummy barbeque that they prepared for us and Parker and I played with Ariana, Jocelyn, and Dylan while Mommy and Daddy reconnected with Anna and Sean.  It was the perfect ending to a memorable weekend getaway.

The drive up and back was boring, but the destination was worth the journey.  I can't wait to see my
friends and family again soon.
