Hiking Newport Beach Environmental Nature Center

Daddy was on his annual surf trip with his friends so Mommy took us hiking at the ENC in Newport Beach.  Grandma Lu met us there with Joce and Grayson.  It was a fun time!

Happy Easter 2017

This year, the Easter bunny sent us on an egg hunt throughout our house.  We started with eggs in our basket that had clues which led us to more clues.  We were up and down our house on our hunt to our final gift.  After our own celebration at home, we went to Grandma Lu's for brunch.  It was a beautiful day with all our entire family.  Grandma Lu got us a jumper so we got to play with our cousin's all day.  We even had another egg hunt with our cousins.  It was a fun filled day.

Hike on the Fairy Trail

Mommy had heard about the Aliso Summit Fairy Trail, so we went for a hike to visit them. Fairy Lily, Queen of the Fairies, and the other fairies inhabit the trail. As Fairy Violet Starlight says, “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with your heart.”

On a summer evening in 2016, a group of fairies were flying over Laguna Niguel when suddenly Fairy Lily, Queen of the Fairies, broke her wing.  The fairies had to land on the Aliso Summit Trail.  As the days past while waiting for Lily’s wing to heal, they found something very magical and mysterious about this canyon and trail.  They grew to love the views of the Pacific Ocean, and enjoyed playing with all the birds and other animals in the canyon -- so much so, that they decided to make this canyon trail their home.

The fairies sleep during the daytime, but after twilight, they come out from their homes and bring the trail to life.  If you listen closely at night, the fairies can be heard singing, dancing and laughing.  Many love to explore the woodlands in the canyon as well.  Although they are somewhat shy around their human friends during the daytime, when they are together at night they are very social. They love to collect coins, shiny rocks, and trinkets that their human friends leave for them on or around their doorsteps.  Some of their favorite activities at night are roasting marshmallows on the bonfire, chasing shooting stars, decorating their fairy homes, reading books to each other, gardening, listening to cricket symphonies, and writing letters.

Happy Early Easter 2017

We celebrated our Easter celebration one week early with Grandpa John and Suzanne at our house.  We had a barbecue and a HUGE egg hunt.  We got so many treats, big kites, and we got to hunt for over 50 eggs.  We even got to bonk Mommy and Daddy over the head with confetti eggs.  It was a blast!
