Vacation to Mars
Today we performed our class play "Vacation to Mars". I was an Asteroid. It was hard working memorizing our lines and practicing, but it was an fun process and I'm glad we get to perform in a class play every year.

Family Hike
We've been enjoying some family hikes with the wonderful spring weather. We found this gem of a trail near our house. It is very close to our school and it is on the easier side of difficulty. When we get to the top, we overlook an amazing view of our city. You can see the reservoir to the ocean on clear days. If you turn around 180 degrees, you get a gorgeous mountain and canyon view. Beautiful skies, gorgeous scenery, and great company make for an amazing hike.

Heritage Museum of Orange County
We went on a field trip today to the Heritage Museum of Orange County. Mommy got to join us as a chaperone. We washed laundry with a wash board like they did in the old days. We squeezed oranges and lemons to make fresh juice. We colored quilt squares to make our own quilt. We got to dress up in class from that era. We played with old toys and games like the children back in the day use to play. We even got to see a real blacksmith at work. Field trips are always fun, but this was especially fun!
