Merry Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas!  This year has been a wonderful holiday season as my brother and I have been looking at all the Christmas lights in our neighborhood, we visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus at their workshop, we would sing carols as they play in our car, and we have watched many holiday movies.  Buddy the Elf stayed with us for 2 weeks as he was watching over us to make sure we behaved ourselves.  Every night he would go home to the north pole to report back to Santa if we were naughty or nice.  We skyped with Santa a few times and in the end, I ended up on the nice list.  Christmas Eve was spent with Grandpa John and Suzanne during the day, Grandma Lu, Joce, Auntie, Uncle Jon, and Uncle Robert in the afternoon, and with all our family at Mom & Pop's at night.  I had so much fun playing with my cousins.  Christmas morning, Santa brought my brother and I a train table and train set.  We were so excited.  We spent all day with Grandma Katy and Grandpa Al and our entire family at their house.  It was a fun filled day.  All together I got so many presents: a train set, a scooter, clothes, money, pj's, hot wheels, a train board game, art supplies, buzz light year, and lots of yummy treats.  It was a wonderful holiday season and I can't wait until next Christmas is here.

Holiday Traditions

Every year since I have been born, we visit various neighborhoods and look at Christmas lights.  This year we stayed closer to home and got to explore all the decorated houses within our city and neighboring city of Mission Viejo.  We went several times this year and we would take hot chocolate and cookies on our lights tour.  It was so beautiful.  We also visited Santa at the Mission Viejo library.  I wasn't took excited to see Santa though.  I thought I would be brave, but as soon as my brother started crying, the water works started for me too.  It was still a fun night exploring Santa's workshop.

Happy 4th Birthday Palmer!

I celebrated my 4th birthday today and we had a fun party with my family and friends.  Since I like Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, I had a Daniel Tiger birthday party.  I got to play with my cousins and friends and it was so much fun.  We had a breakfast party, so it started early and I was able to play with new toys all afternoon.  I am a big boy now that I am 4 and so much has happened over the last year.  I go to school now and I love my teacher Ms B and all my friends.  I can write all my letters, numbers, my full name, and I am learning to write different words.  I know all my continents and many of my states.  We went on vacation to Palm Springs and Hawaii.  I love going on vacation.  I know how to ride my balance bike with my feet up.  I love playing hot wheels and garbage trucks.  I love playing outside and running around.  I know how to swim and I really like my swim coach Scott.  I love spending time with my family and I am starting to share and play nicely with my little brother Parker.  I am also growing so tall.  This has been a very adventurous year and I can't wait to see what "4" has in store for me.

Lions and Tigers and Bears...

We went to the Irvine Zoo today.  Although it is a small zoo, we got to see many wild animals.  We got to touch a snake, pet some sheep, and see many animals such as coyotes, owls, deer, bear, horse, and even a mountain lion.  Mommy is afraid of mountain lions.  I spread my arms out to see if I am as big as an eagle.  It was a great, fun filled, family day.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  This fall season we went to Irvine Regional Park on rode their train.  I love the train and Grandpa takes me and Parker to ride often.  This particular visit was with Mommy, Daddy, Parker, Grandma Lu, Joce, Auntie Janelle, and Uncle Robert.   We got to play in their pumpkin patch and haunted house.  I will admit I did not want to go in the haunted house though.  It was too scary.  I had a fun day with our family.  On Halloween night, I stayed home and gave out candy to all our trick or treaters.  I had been recovering from being sick, so I decided it would be more fun to stay indoors.  Maybe next year I will venture out.

Aloha!

We spent our vacation in Hawaii this year.  It was 7 days of fun and frolic on the big island in Kona.  Our entire family was there because Auntie Janelle and Uncle Robert got married.  Our vacation house had a pool, an amazing ocean view, a big yard for us to run around, and lots of space inside where I played with my cars.  We went on morning walks, drove the island, went to the beach, and took a daily dip in our pool.  I practiced my new found swimming skills.  Each day I got better and better at jumping in the pool.  I was even jumping backwards.  The pools was freezing cold, but it did not stop me from getting in.  I had so much fun playing with my brother and my cousin Joce.  Since Uncle Robert and Auntie Janelle went to Maui for their honeymoon, Joce stayed in our house and we were best of friends.  The worst part of our vacation was coming home and having to go back to school.  I loved our Hawaiian vacation and I can't wait to go on vacation again.

Pool Time

I started swimming lessons this summer because Mommy wanted me to be pool safe for our trip to Hawaii.  I'm just glad I am taking lessons because I love to swim.  I was a little hesitant at first, but once I saw the other ninos swimming, I knew I wanted to join them.  My swim teacher's name is Josh.  He is s nice guy and let's me go at my own pace.  I'll be swimming like Nemo in no time.

New Digs

Now that my brother is in a big boy bed, he wanted his own room.  Mommy let choose which room I wanted and I chose to switch rooms.  It's really fun to sleep in a new room now.

School Days...

I am a big boy now and I go to preschool.  My teacher's name is Ms. Buendia, but we call her Ms. B.  My friends are Max, Elijah, Giovanni, Dylann, and Brooklyn.  We have so much fun at school.  Music class is my favorite subject.  I am learning so much, I already know how to count to 100, I know all my letters and I can write almost all of them.  I even know how to write my first and last name.  I am now learning my states, countries, and continents.  I can't wait to learn more things!

Palm Springs Getaway

We went on vacation this past weekend to Palm Springs. As our Christmas present, Grandpa John and Suzanne rented a house for us and our whole family went for the a weekend getaway. Auntie Janelle and Uncle Robert joined us with Joce. It was so much fun. The weather was hot, but not scorching. We would start our mornings going for a walk and a bike ride. Our days were spent in the pool and spa.

Grandma Lu was also in Palm Springs the same weekend, so we spent our last evening with her at her condo. Daddy and I got to swim and Grandma made dinner.

It was a great weekend and I hope we can go back every year.

Water Lizard

We enjoyed the spring sunshine today by playing in our backyard with our new water lizard.  It was an Easter present from Grandma Lu and it should is a fun toy.  Daddy even splashed about with us.  I know we will have a great summer now that we have the water lizard.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  The Easter Bunny brought me a big ball and a toy car.  It was fun to play with my new toys.  Grandpa John gave me a basket filled with new PJs, a towel, and lots of goodies.  Grandma Lucille gave me a basket filled with goodies, stickers, and money.  We spent the afternoon at Grandma Lu's.  She had a jumper for us and I got to jump with my cousin Joce, my brother, my daddy, and my Auntie Janelle.  It was so much fun.  We also had an egg hunt and I found the eggs all by myself.  It was also Joce's birthday, so we celebrated with cake and rice krispy treats.  They were delicious, just like the feast that Grandma Lu an Auntie Lelia cooked for us.  We all had a very blessed day.
