Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas!  I had a wonderful Christmas with my family.  We spent Christmas Eve visiting with Grandma Lu and having dinner.  She bought me a new bike and I love it.  We stopped by and saw Grandma Carmen.  We went to visit with Grandpa John and the rest of our family at Mom & Pop's house.  I got more presents - a soccer ball and goal, a trash truck t-shirt, new PJs, and Grandpa John gave us a vacation trip to Palm Desert.  I can't wait to go!  That night, Daddy put out cookies and carrots for Santa Claus and his reindeer.  I was so excited I could not even sleep that night.  I crawled into bed with Mommy, Daddy, and Parker, but I tossed and turned all night.  Finally it was morning time and I popped out of bed ready to see what Santa brought me.  He left behind his cookies crumbs.  Santa brought me the red trash truck - exactly what I asked for.  My brother gave me new baseballs and Mommy and Daddy gave me new trash cans.  I was so excited.  My stocking was filled with yummy treats too.  We spent all of Christmas Day with Daddy's side of the family at Grandma Katy's and Grandpa Al's house.  I got so many presents - a bike helmet, a bike bell, a Chargers' Jersey, a police car, and a play tent.  I love all my presents and I am a very blessed little boy.

Holiday Traditions

One tradition we started when I was first born was to drive around and look at Christmas lights throughout the holiday season.  Years passed, we went once or twice to look at lights.  This year, we went a few times a week.  Grandpa John even took me to Brea took look at the lights there as well.  I love looking at Christmas lights and I can't wait to see even more displays next year.

Visit with Santa

This year Mommy and Daddy took us to go see Santa.  I've never met him before, so it was a real treat.  I was a little hesitant at first to talk to him, but I got comfortable and told him that I wanted a red trash truck for Christmas.  I hope he brings me what I want.  We also got to look at all the holiday decorations in Santa's Workshop.  We even decorated cookies with his elves.  It was a very fun (and COLD) night - we even got a little (faux) snow.

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

We spent Thanksgiving Day at Auntie Laura and Uncle Donnie's house in San Diego.  It was so much fun as I got to play with cousins.  I had a great time and now I can't wait until Christmas so I can see my family again.

Happy 3rd Birthday Palmer!

On Friday (my actual birthday), we started off my birthday celebration by going to Farrell's with Mommy and Grandma Lu.  I got eat a birthday sundae and everyone sang to me.  It was so much fun.  After Farrell's, Mommy took me to Toys R Us where to I got to pick out any toy I wanted.  I chose a wooden train set.  On Saturday, we had a little party with my family and a few of my friends.  I had an Elmo birthday party and Mommy made me Elmo cupcakes.  I really like cupcakes...yummy!  I got lots of presents and I was able to have nice birthday playing with my cousins and friends.  Grandpa John even gave me my own Jeep.  I thought I had to wait until I was 16 to get a car?

Oh what a year it has been...  A lot has happened over the last year.  Mommy and Daddy gave me a little brother, which I am still unsure if I am happy about.  I love my baby brother very much, but I am also sad that I have to share my Mommy and Daddy with him.  I loved having ALL their attention. I reached many other milestones.  I now talk...all the time.  Mommy and Daddy were a little worried since I was not saying too many words.  I just needed to do it on my own time.  I know my numbers up to 30, all my letters, and all my colors.  I can speak in complete sentences and I can actually have a conversation with people.  I love watching movies with my daddy.  I love Elmo, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, Curious George, and Sid the Science Kid with Mommy and Brother.  I'm still obsessed with trash trucks and now car washes.  I always tell mommy that her car is dirty so we can go to the car wash. I love watching youtube...anything from trash trucks, to car washes, Christmas lights, trains, to robots.  We went on many different adventures right before my brother was born.  After my brother was born, mommy and I went to school together.  It was a lot of fun and I can't wait until I can go to school again.  I've also grown in height and weight.  I now weigh 36.6 lbs and 37.75 inches.  It has been a wonderful year.  Stay tuned for another year of wonderful adventures....

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  I went trick or treating with Mommy, while Daddy and Brother stayed home to give out candy.  I knocked on all the doors and said "Trick or Treat".  Many people liked my costume.  I filled up my entire bucket with candy.  We even carved a pumpkin into the shape of the moon and stars.  Today was a great day!

Halloween Fun

To celebrate Halloween, we went to the Pumpkin Patch and had some fun.  I got to run through an obstacle course, play in a jumper, go for a train ride, and ride on some mechanical rides.  It was a lot of fun.  Later on, we carved our pumpkin.  Daddy and Mommy did all the carving as I did not even want to touch the pumpkin.  The insides were all icky.  I can't wait to go trick or treating on Halloween night!

Open House at the Fire Station

Today we visited our local fire station to meet the crew and see the engines. The trucks were so big that the tires were even bigger than me. We had a great time exploring inside the trucks. Explorer Brandon gave me a mini tour of the different engines and the tools inside. It was a great day! Maybe I'll be an explorer when I get bigger?

Touch a Truck

We went to the Touch a Truck event today in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium. Daddy had to work, so I went with brother, grandpa John, grandpa Al, grandma Katy, and mommy. We had a great time. Proceeds benefit child cancer research. It was a great cause and a fun day. I got to sit in a 53' reefer truck, a dump truck, a fire truck, a school bus, a backhoe, and a trash truck. My favorite was the trash truck, but the backhoe was a close second. I really enjoyed pulling the horn on the dump truck. It was very loud and it scared my brother and made him cry. We saw Robosaurus breathe fire and smash up a car. There was so much to do and see that we did not get to see it all. I hope we go again next year.

A Historical Day to Remember

Today we went and saw the shuttle fly over beautiful Southern California. It was so cool to see the two "airplanes" on top of each other...that is how I described it to mommy. I may not exactly remember this day when I grow up, but at least I can say I did experience 'a historical day to remember.'

Surfing Salt Creek

I went out in the water with Daddy today and I caught my first wave. The water was very cold and the waves were going off, but I had a great time overall. I love the water and the beach and hanging with Daddy is always fun. I can't wait to go out again.
